Abubakar Bukola Saraki Ilorin Football Club (ABS Ilorin FC) organized a seminar on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, aimed at educating its players and officials on the laws of the game. The event was held at the main bowl of the Kwara State Stadium Complex in Ilorin, marking a significant step in the club's preparation for the 2024/2025 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.
The seminar featured in-depth lectures delivered by Afolabi Maroof, the Kwara State Referee Training Officer, and Referee Emmanuel Kolawole. Both speakers addressed crucial aspects of football regulations, with an emphasis on the latest amendments to the laws of the game and best practices for players and officials.
Club secretary Funmilayo Owolabi highlighted the importance of the initiative, noting that the seminar was tailored to improve the knowledge and understanding of the entire team. "This program ensures that our players, coaches, and officials are well-informed and ready to handle the demands of the upcoming season," Owolabi said.
Participants were given the opportunity to engage with the presenters, asking questions and clarifying ambiguities in the rules. This interactive approach ensured a comprehensive understanding of the topics covered during the seminar.
