Gbenga Ogunbote Hails Team Effort After Shooting Stars' Victory Over Nasarawa United

Shooting Stars SC head coach, Gbenga Ogunbote, has praised his team’s collective effort following their 2-0 victory over Nasarawa United in Ibadan on Wednesday. The win keeps 3SC in contention for the NPFL25 title as they move to second place on the league table. Ogunbote took to his official X page to commend both his players and the club’s supporters for their role in securing the crucial three points.

"Yesterday's win was a total team effort. Proud of every single player. And to our supporters, your energy was massive," Ogunbote wrote. He emphasized the importance of maintaining momentum, stating that the team is not slowing down in their pursuit of success. "The grind continues as we chase our goals! Let's keep the drive going," he added.

With the victory, Shooting Stars now have 36 points from 20 matches, trailing league leaders Remo Stars by six points. However, they still have a game in hand, which could reduce the gap if they secure maximum points. The team has shown consistency in recent weeks, positioning themselves as serious title challengers.

Ogunbote’s leadership has played a key role in 3SC’s strong performances this season, with his tactical approach bringing out the best in the squad. The coach's message highlights the team’s determination to push forward and continue their pursuit of glory in the NPFL25 campaign.

Shooting Stars will now shift focus to their next fixture against Plateau United on Feb 2nd in Jos as they look to maintain their winning form. With Ogunbote’s confidence and the squad’s unity, 3SC remains a strong contender in the race for the NPFL title.
