Shooting Stars head coach, Gbenga Ogunbote, has emphasized the need for fair officiating as his team prepares for their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 22 fixture against Plateau United.
The Oluyole Warriors, currently second on the league table, will travel to Jos on Sunday for a crucial encounter against Plateau United, who are battling to avoid relegation.
Ogunbote believes that officiating will play a key role in determining the outcome of the match. “If we continue to get fair officiating, it will be difficult to lose games,” he stated.
Acknowledging the challenge ahead, the experienced coach stressed the importance of adequate preparation. “Our next match against Plateau United will be challenging as they’re also fighting to avoid relegation, so we must be fully prepared,” he said in an interview with the club’s media team.
Shooting Stars will be aiming to maintain their strong league position as they push for a top finish in the NPFL.
