The Confederation of African Football (CAF) stirred confusion on Thursday by incorrectly naming Ladan Bosso as the head coach of Nigeria’s U20 team in its official team list for the ongoing AFCON U20 tournament in Egypt.
Ahead of Nigeria's group stage opener against Tunisia, CAF's publication omitted the current coach, Aliyu Zubairu, and instead listed Bosso, who previously led the Flying Eagles in the last two editions of the competition.
Aliyu Zubairu, currently managing El Kanemi Warriors, took over the Flying Eagles a few months ago and guided them through a successful qualification campaign.
Despite the mix-up, Bosso remains a notable figure in the team's history due to his long tenure and past contributions.
