Abia Warriors FC are reportedly looking to bring back former striker Godwin Obaje, following the expiration of his contract with Rangers International.
Obaje, who played a pivotal role in Rangers’ title-winning campaign in the 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, is now a free agent. His performances have not gone unnoticed, attracting interest from several top-tier clubs, including his former side, Abia Warriors.
The Umuahia-based club is said to be in the market for attacking reinforcements, particularly with the possible summer exits of key forwards Sunday Megwo and Anthony Ijoma. Both players are reportedly on the radar of clubs across Europe, Asia, and North Africa.
Abia Warriors are keen to bolster their squad ahead of the new season, and a reunion with the experienced Obaje could prove vital to their plans.
