El-Kanemi Warriors Restructure Technical Department Ahead of New Season

El-Kanemi Warriors FC have commenced preparations for the new football season with a significant restructuring of their technical department.

In a statement released by the Maiduguri-based club, the management confirmed the promotion and appointment of key coaching personnel as part of a transitional phase ahead of naming a substantive Technical Adviser.

Coach Mohammed Kalli Kachalla has been promoted from Assistant Coach to Chief Coach. He will be joined by Coach Ibrahim Imam A Laji, who arrives from DMD FC, where he led the team to promotion in the Nigeria Nationwide League One (NLO), and now takes up the role of Assistant Coach.

Also joining the technical team is Coach Ishaku Goni Hussaini, formerly with Aminu Babes, who takes up an Assistant Coach role. In the goalkeeping department, Coach Hussaini Yusuf from El-Kanemi Babes has been appointed Head of Goalkeeping, supported by Coach Usman Mohammed (Casillas) as Assistant Goalkeeping Coach.

The club noted that these experienced coaches have been entrusted with overseeing early pre-season activities involving home-based players, returning squad members, and newly invited talents. Their efforts will lay the foundation for a smooth transition once the new Technical Adviser is appointed.

The management expressed full confidence in the new technical setup and thanked outgoing staff members for their dedicated service. Supporters and stakeholders were urged to stand behind the team as El-Kanemi Warriors aim to return to their glory days in Nigerian football.
