Kano Pillars Aim to Make Strong Statement in New NPFL Season – Evans Ogenyi

Kano Pillars’ newly appointed Technical Adviser, Evans Ogenyi, has assured supporters that the team is determined to make a strong impression in the forthcoming 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

Ogenyi, who recently concluded pre-season preparations with the Sai Masu Gida, praised the commitment of his players but maintained that there is still room for improvement.

“I am grateful for the efforts they put in, but it is still a work in progress,” Ogenyi said. “We will continue to work harder because we are facing a marathon league. I want to assure our fans that we will not disappoint them. We will play each game with responsibility, and we want to make a statement in the NPFL.”

The squad has been boosted by the return of experienced players Abdullahi Musa, Manu Idris Fagge and goalkeeper Galadima Muhammad. New signing Ozor Chinedu has also joined the team, adding depth ahead of the league’s kickoff later this month.

With fixtures for the new season already confirmed, Ogenyi and his men will be hoping to hit the ground running as they target a successful campaign.
