Bauchi came alive on Sunday, 24 August 2025, as Wikki Tourists FC marked their return to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) in spectacular fashion. Thousands of supporters thronged the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium for the opening match of the 2025/26 season against Plateau United, creating a sea of colours, chants and unrelenting football passion.
The atmosphere was electric, with fans turning the encounter into more than just a game. It became a celebration of the club’s comeback to the NPFL and a show of solidarity with the players and coaching crew.
Supporters filled every corner of the stadium, reaffirming Wikki Tourists’ status as one of the most loyal fan bases in Nigerian football.
“We came out to support our boys, and we’ll do it every match day. This team represents Bauchi, and we’re proud,” a lifelong supporter said after the match.
With the season underway, the team has vowed to match the unwavering passion of its fans with competitive performances on the pitch.
