The Imo State Chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria has formally unveiled plans for its 2025 End-Of-The-Year Get-Together, set to take place on Saturday, 13 December, at Crest Suites Hotel, Okwu Uratta, near the Kanu Nwankwo Sports Complex in Owerri.
The association described the annual gathering as a moment to celebrate commitment, impactful reporting and the strong bond that unites sports journalists across the state. It added that the event will offer members a relaxed and memorable evening as they reflect on the achievements recorded throughout the year.
Imo SWAN also extended an open invitation to corporate organisations, brands, sports stakeholders and supporters to partner with the association for the celebration. According to the body, the event offers an opportunity for businesses and interested individuals to engage with the state’s sports media community and identify with an association that continues to shape sports narratives within and beyond Imo.
Attendees can look forward to side attractions, networking sessions, games, entertainment and light refreshments. There will also be special recognition segments and opportunities for members to bond in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
