Nasarawa United head coach, Kabiru Dogo, remains optimistic despite his team’s 3-0 defeat to Remo Stars in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) on Sunday. Speaking after the game, Dogo expressed confidence that his side would bounce back from the loss and shift focus to their next match against Abia Warriors. The coach believes the team has the resilience to overcome setbacks and return to form.
Dogo emphasized the importance of moving past the heavy loss quickly, as Nasarawa United prepares to host Abia Warriors at the Lafia City Stadium in just a few days. He is determined to ensure the team doesn’t dwell on the defeat but instead concentrates on regaining their momentum in the upcoming fixture.
"The team’s spirit remains unbroken, and we are eager to put this setback behind us as quickly as possible," Dogo stated. He highlighted that their focus is now fully on the midweek clash with Abia Warriors, where they will aim to get back to winning ways and reclaim their form.
With just a short turnaround before their next match, Dogo and his coaching staff are working on strategic adjustments. He acknowledged that improvements are needed, and the team is already mapping out strategies to ensure they are ready to face the challenge posed by the visiting Umuahia club.
In their previous outing, Remo Stars secured their 3-0 victory with all goals coming in the second half, courtesy of strikes from Sikiru Alimi, Stanley Joseph, and Ismail Sodiq. The defeat marked Nasarawa United’s second loss of the season, but Dogo remains confident that his side will respond positively in their next encounter.
