Abia Warriors Captain Njoku Confident of Victory Against Nasarawa United

Abia Warriors FC captain, Augustine Njoku, has expressed confidence ahead of his team’s Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 7 clash against Nasarawa United FC. The team has already settled in Lafia as they prepare to battle for all three points at the Lafia City Stadium. After their recent victory against Kwara United, Njoku believes the Warriors can carry that momentum into Wednesday’s match.

Abia Warriors, fondly called ‘Umu Chineke,’ head into the game after a narrow 1-0 win over Kwara United on Sunday. Njoku is optimistic that the team can build on that performance and secure another victory on the road. Speaking ahead of the match, the captain emphasized that their mission in Lafia is to take the maximum points and nothing less.

“The spirit in the camp is high,” said Njoku. “We didn’t come here for a jamboree or to play around; we are here for the maximum points." He underlined the focus and determination of his teammates, highlighting the strong atmosphere in the camp as a driving force behind their push for a win.

The Warriors skipper also expressed faith in the coaching staff’s preparations. According to Njoku, the tactics and lessons they’ve absorbed in training throughout the week will be key in their efforts to defeat Nasarawa United. He believes that if they apply what they’ve learned, they can emerge victorious from the game.

Njoku’s optimism stems from their recent hard-fought win over Kwara United. “Victory begets victory,” he said, adding that the team is determined to keep the winning spirit alive and carry the momentum forward into Wednesday’s match as they push for another three points.
