Injury Sidelines Osimhen for Two Weeks

Nigeria’s Super Eagles forward and Galatasaray striker, Victor Osimhen, is set to miss two weeks of action due to injury. The announcement follows an MRI examination confirming the extent of the damage.

Osimhen featured in Galatasaray’s thrilling 3-2 away victory against Sivasspor on Sunday, scoring the team’s second goal in the encounter. However, he complained of discomfort in his upper back muscle after the match.

Medical tests conducted on Monday revealed a moderate strain and bleeding in Osimhen’s right upper back muscle. According to Turkish news outlet Fanatik, "Victor Osimhen, who felt pain during match week 15, was diagnosed with moderate strain and bleeding in his right upper back muscle group. Treatment has already commenced."

The Nigerian international has been instrumental for Galatasaray this season, with crucial goals to his name. His absence will be a significant blow for the team as they navigate the next couple of weeks without their star striker.
