The Sokoto State Football Association successfully conducted the draws for the Presidential Federation Cup on Monday, February 10, 2025. The event was held at the association’s conference hall at Giginya Memorial Stadium in Sokoto.
The draw featured four participating teams: Sokoto United FC, Arewa Pillers Tangaza FC, Jedo Academy, and Sokoto North FC. Representatives from each club were present to witness the proceedings.
The event was overseen by the Sokoto State Football Association, with Murtala Muhammad Abubakar, a board member, conducting the draws on behalf of the FA chairman. Acting secretary Bashar Hassan and board member Abdulmajid Ahmed were also in attendance.
Due to the limited number of registered teams, the tournament will begin directly at the semi-final stage. The matchups and schedule for the semi-finals are as follows:
- Sokoto United FC vs. Arewa Pillers Tangaza FC – Tuesday, February 18, 2025
- Jedo Academy vs. Sokoto North FC – Wednesday, February 19, 2025
Both matches will take place at the Giginya Memorial Stadium in Sokoto, with kick-off scheduled for 3:00 pm.
The winners of the semi-final matches will advance to the final, where they will compete for the prestigious Presidential Federation Cup title. Football enthusiasts in Sokoto are eagerly anticipating the competition, expecting an exciting display of talent and determination from all four teams.
