Naija Ratels head coach, Samson Keshi, has expressed delight after his team booked the final slot in the 2025 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Super Six playoffs.
The Abuja-based side sealed qualification with a goalless draw against unbeaten Bayelsa Queens at the Bwari City Stadium in Abuja, their final Group B fixture of the regular season. The result was enough to see Naija Ratels edge into the playoffs for the second time since joining the top flight.
Keshi praised his team’s resilience, highlighting the significance of holding a strong Bayelsa Queens side.
“I give my girls hundred percent praise because Bayelsa Queens are a very good side,” Keshi said. “For my girls to come out today with a point that qualifies us for the Super Six, I’m very proud. I thank them and give them all the praise.”
Looking ahead, Keshi promised a strong outing in the next stage, stating, “I know the Super Six is going to be a different ballgame. I promise to reach the finals.”
The Super Six playoffs will take place in Ikenne, Ogun State, where the top three teams from each group will battle for the 2025 NWFL title.
