The executive of the NWFL Premiership Media Directors Forum has extended warm congratulations to the six teams that qualified for the 2024/2025 NWFL Super Six playoffs: Rivers Angels, Edo Queens, Bayelsa Queens, Remo Stars Ladies, Nasarawa Amazons, and Naija Ratels.
The Forum commended the teams for their impressive performances during the regular season, stating that their emergence from the two groups reflects their status as the best sides in the league.
With the playoffs set to take place in Ikenne, Ogun State from May 8 to 17, the Forum expressed hope for a competition marked by fair play and sportsmanship, wishing all participating teams the best of luck.
Among the qualifiers, Remo Stars Ladies will be making their debut appearance, while Naija Ratels are returning for the second time. Rivers Angels, Bayelsa Queens, and defending champions Edo Queens are seasoned campaigners who have all represented Nigeria on the continental stage.
The tournament in Ikenne will determine the league champions who will proceed to the WAFU B playoffs, aiming to secure a spot in the 2025 CAF Women’s Champions League.
The Forum also acknowledged the efforts of all 16 teams that participated in the regular season, applauding their spirited performances and wishing them success in future competitions.
