Kwara United midfielder Akanni Akeem says the team is fully prepared and focused ahead of their President Federation Cup semi-final clash against Rangers, set for next Wednesday in Lagos.
Following Friday’s training session at the Rashidi Yekini Main Bowl, Akanni told the club’s media that team spirit and unity are high as the match approaches.
“With the level of preparation and the unity among the players, I can confidently say we are battle-ready for this crucial game,” he said.
He assured fans of maximum effort from the entire squad, stressing the importance of teamwork over individual brilliance.
“Our fans should expect 100% commitment from me and the whole team. It’s not about one player—it’s a collective effort. We want to make history by winning this match and going on to lift the cup for the first time.
Akanni also urged fans and stakeholders to rally behind the team in this critical phase.
“We urge all fans and supporters to redouble their efforts at this stage. Your support means everything, and together, we can make history.”
Kwara United are eyeing a historic first-ever appearance in the President Federation Cup final, with a chance to clinch their maiden title.
