"We Must Approach Final Matches with Focus" – Ayeni Charges Crown FC After Crucial Win Over Inter Lagos

Crown Football Club of Ogbomoso took a significant step towards securing a Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 8 play-off spot with a 1-0 victory over Inter Lagos FC in Match Week 20.

The tense encounter saw both sides end the first half goalless, but a second-half substitution by Technical Adviser Ayodeji Ayeni proved decisive. Rilwan Sadiq, brought on for Samuel Oyedeji, capitalised on a goalmouth scramble in the 69th minute to score the winning goal and move Crown FC into second place on the Conference A table.

Speaking after the match, Coach Ayeni expressed gratitude to the fans and stakeholders for their consistent support and praised his players for their determination. “I appreciate our supporters and commend the players for their commitment. We must now approach the final matches with focus to secure our position,” he said.

Obansa Ibrahim, Crown FC’s ever-reliable centre-back, was named Man of the Match for his dominant performance. He has featured in every match this season and has a goal to his name. The award was presented by former team manager Mr. Sunday Olaosebikan, popularly known as “Coming Down.”

With two fixtures left, the Ajilete Warriors are well-poised to clinch a spot in the NNL Super 8 and continue their quest for top-flight football.
