Bayelsa Queens Chairman, Pastor Robin Angonimi Apreala, has expressed strong confidence in the club's preparedness ahead of the 2025 WAFU Zone B CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers.
Speaking ahead of the draw for the regional competition, Pastor Apreala assured fans and stakeholders that the Prosperity Girls are fully ready to represent Bayelsa State and Nigeria with pride.
According to him, the club has strengthened its squad with the addition of new players, including Emem Essien, Sofiat Bankole, Kafayat Mafiere and Oladeji Semilore, in a bid to improve on past performances.
“We are optimistic about winning this WAFU Zone B competition,” Apreala said in a statement posted on the club's official channels.
He further stated that both the technical crew and the players are working tirelessly, noting that their recent playing tour has helped the team gain valuable experience which they plan to build on.
The Prosperity Girls will know their group opponents when the official draw is conducted by the West African Football Union (WAFU).
