Emotional Reunion in Ghana as El-Kanemi Warriors' Casillas Meets Club Legend Malam Ado Samaila



El-Kanemi Warriors FC goalkeeper coach, Usman Casillas, shared an emotional moment in Ghana as he reunited with Malam Ado Samaila, a legendary figure in the club’s history. The reunion occurred during the ongoing WAFU Championship.

Casillas, who also served with the Flying Eagles technical crew under Coach Aliyu Zubairu, expressed deep admiration for Malam Samaila, who dedicated over 36 years of service to El-Kanemi Warriors. Samaila joined the club from BCC Lions of Gboko as the Chief Massager and became an integral part of the team’s fabric before retiring to his native Ghana.



Malam Samaila spent many years in Maiduguri, where he raised his family and contributed significantly to the club’s success. His unwavering dedication earned him a respected place in the hearts of players and fans alike.

Speaking during the reunion, an emotional Casillas said:
"I'm happy to see you, Uncle. It's been a long time. We truly missed your service. You are a good man, and you will live long to see the fruit of your labour. Your name is written in the Hall of Fame."

In response, Malam Samaila expressed gratitude for the recognition of his efforts and reaffirmed his love for the club, stating:
"My heart is with the Warriors."

This touching encounter highlights the enduring bond between El-Kanemi Warriors and the figures who have shaped its proud history.
