El-Kanemi Warriors Coach Kabiru Dogo Receives Royal Blessing from Shehu of Borno

The Technical Adviser of El-Kanemi Warriors Football Club, Kabiru Suleiman Dogo, on Monday paid a courtesy visit to the Shehu of Borno, His Royal Highness Alhaji Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai El-Kanemi, at his palace in Maiduguri.

Dogo was accompanied by a key supporter of the club, Shettima Abdullahi Conti, and two others. The visit, which was facilitated by the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness Alhaji Sulu Gambari, was aimed at securing royal blessings and goodwill ahead of the new football season.

Expressing his appreciation, Dogo thanked the people of Borno for the warm reception since his arrival in the state. He assured the Shehu and the Emirate Council of his dedication to promoting the values and reputation of both the club and the state.

"Your Highness, I was well received in your land by all and sundry. Kindly help me extend my gratitude to all those involved in the football circle in Maiduguri. Insha Allah, I will not allow anything to tarnish the image and reputation of Borno State and El-Kanemi Warriors FC," Dogo told El-kanemi Warriors media during the visit.

In response, the Shehu of Borno extended his royal blessings to the coach and the entire club. "I am proud of you. Go and make us proud. I am a hundred percent supporter of El-Kanemi Warriors FC. May Allah grant us a successful season," he said.

As a gesture of appreciation and unity, Dogo presented a customised El-Kanemi Warriors FC jersey to the Shehu. The symbolic gift reflected the strong relationship between traditional institutions and the development of football in Borno State.

The visit marks a positive step for the club ahead of the new season, reinforcing the bond between the team and the Borno Emirate.
