The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco is projected to become the most financially successful tournament in the competition’s history, with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) forecasting a record profit of $112.84 million.

CAF’s financial outlook shows that total revenue is expected to reach $191.63 million, boosted by lucrative broadcasting deals, sponsorship agreements, and strong ticket sales. Tournament expenses are estimated at $78.79 million, leaving an unprecedented profit margin that reinforces AFCON’s position as Africa’s most valuable sporting event.

Beyond football, AFCON has evolved into a major global entertainment and commercial platform, attracting millions of viewers worldwide and generating substantial economic benefits for host nations through tourism, hospitality, and infrastructure investment.

The 2025 edition, scheduled from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026, will feature 24 nations competing across six Moroccan cities.
