The management of Wikki Tourists Football Club has appealed to its loyal supporters to remain calm and understanding following the decision of the league organisers that Sunday’s NPFL Match Day 11 fixture against Barau FC in Kano will be played behind closed doors.
In a statement released by the club, Wikki Tourists acknowledged the disappointment of fans who had hoped to cheer the team from the stands but described the decision as a temporary measure beyond their control.
“We understand your passion and desire to support the team physically,” the club said. “However, we urge all our supporters to continue praying fervently for the success of the Tourists as we go into this crucial encounter.”
The Bauchi-based side further emphasised that the faith, prayers, and moral support of the fans remain the driving force behind the team’s spirit both at home and away.
