Bichi First FC have rejected allegations made by Ranchers Bees FC following incidents during their Nigeria National League fixture in Bichi on 14 March 2026.
The match ended in a 1–1 draw, but has since been overshadowed by conflicting accounts from both clubs regarding the treatment of travelling supporters and stadium security.
In an official statement, Bichi First described Ranchers Bees’ claims as fabricated and misleading, insisting that the true sequence of events had not been accurately presented.
The Kano-based club stated that proper procedures require the away team to notify match officials and organisers about travelling supporters before the game. According to Bichi First, no such communication was made, which affected security planning and fan arrangements.
Bichi First further alleged that some individuals linked to Ranchers Bees supporters entered the stadium without tickets, overwhelmed personnel and occupied areas reserved for home fans.
The club also claimed that when security operatives intervened, the away supporters resisted instructions and threw objects at officials after being asked to vacate restricted areas.
Despite the tension, Bichi First maintained that security personnel acted promptly to restore order and ensure the match was completed without injuries to players or officials.
The club reaffirmed its commitment to professionalism and fair play, while accusing Ranchers Bees of attempting to shift blame. Bichi First urged stakeholders to disregard what it described as false claims.
The incident has now sparked a wider debate over matchday security and fan conduct, with both clubs calling for scrutiny from league authorities.
