Ranchers Bees FC have condemned the disruption of their travelling supporters during their league fixture against Bichi First FC in Kano on 14 March 2026.
The match, which ended in a 1–1 draw, was overshadowed by incidents involving individuals who allegedly created a hostile environment for visiting fans.
In an official statement, the Kaduna-based club expressed concern over reports that thugs were present at the venue, raising serious questions about matchday security and supporter safety.
Ranchers Bees stressed that the welfare of their players, staff and supporters remains their top priority. The club revealed that the tense situation led them to consider forfeiting the match due to safety concerns.
Despite the challenges, the fixture was completed, but the club maintained that the events do not reflect the standards of professionalism and safety expected in football.
Ranchers Bees have now called on league authorities to review the incidents and take appropriate disciplinary action where necessary. They also urged the implementation of stronger security measures to prevent a recurrence.
