The semi-final line-up for the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup 2025/26 has been confirmed following a dramatic weekend of quarter-final action. Four clubs have advanced after fiercely contested ties across Africa.
Egypt’s Zamalek SC, Algeria’s CR Belouizdad and USM Alger, along with Morocco’s Olympique Club de Safi, will contest the semi-finals in April.
CR Belouizdad’s qualification is historic, marking the Algerian club’s first continental semi-final appearance in 30 years.
Zamalek SC will face CR Belouizdad, a clash between Egyptian experience and Algerian resurgence. Meanwhile, USM Alger take on Olympique Club de Safi in a North African showdown, with a place in the final at stake. Both ties will be played over two legs.
CR Belouizdad advanced after a disciplined goalless home draw against Egypt’s Al Masry, following a 1-1 result in the first leg. Zamalek secured their semi-final spot with a 3-2 aggregate victory over Congo’s AS Otoho in a dramatic encounter in Cairo.
USM Alger progressed on away goals after a 2-2 aggregate draw with DR Congo’s AS Maniema Union. Olympique Club de Safi also advanced on away goals after a thrilling Moroccan derby against Wydad Casablanca, holding their nerve to complete a 3-3 aggregate tie.
The semi-finals promise intense contests as the remaining clubs compete for a place in the final of the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup.
