The Deputy Governor of Niger State, Comrade Yakubu Garba, has fulfilled his pledge to Niger Tornadoes following their goalless draw against Kano Pillars at the Bako Kontagora Stadium in Minna.
Garba was in attendance for the Nigeria Premier Football League fixture and expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance despite the stalemate.
The Deputy Governor honoured his earlier promise to the club, delivering on his commitment in a move that has provided a timely morale boost for the players ahead of their next fixture.
The message was conveyed to the squad by the Chairman of the Niger State Sports Commission, Hon. Danjuma Abdul Masu, during a morning training session. He urged the players to step up their efforts and push for maximum points in Thursday’s clash against Rivers United.
Niger Tornadoes will be looking to end their winless run when they host Rivers United in Minna.
