FCAAN Extends Heartfelt Congratulations to Rangers on NPFL Triumph, Urges Strengthening of Squad for CAF Champions League

The Football Coaches Association of African Nations (FCAAN) has extended its warmest congratulations to Enugu Rangers on their remarkable achievement in winning the 2023/2024 NPFL title. FCAAN President, Dr. Terry Eguaoje, specially acknowledged the contributions of two of its members, Fidelis Ilechukwu and Ekene Ikedilichukwu, the Head Coach and Team Scout of Rangers, respectively.

Dr. Eguaoje praised the highly competitive and demanding nature of the 2023/2024 NPFL season, which made Rangers' perseverance and eventual triumph all the more impressive. He lauded Coach Ilechukwu's consistency and exceptional leadership, which guided Rangers to an outstanding season, securing the championship title and a coveted spot in the CAF Champions League next season.

The FCAAN President emphasized the importance of strengthening Rangers' squad ahead of the CAF Champions League, urging the team to bolster its weak areas with quality players. This, he believes, will ensure a strong representation for Nigeria in the prestigious tournament.

Rangers' victory marks a significant milestone, as the team secured their second NPFL title in thirty years, finishing the season with an impressive 70 points. FCAAN's recognition and encouragement serve as a testament to the team's hard work and dedication.

As Rangers prepares to represent Nigeria on the continental stage, FCAAN's call to strengthen the squad is timely and crucial. With the CAF Champions League offering a platform for African football excellence, Rangers has the opportunity to make a lasting impact and bring pride to Nigerian football.
