Alabi Jojo Returns to Elkanemi Warriors Ahead of CAF Confederation and NPFL Campaigns

Nigerian wonderkid, Alabi Sulaiman Jojo, has resumed full training with Elkanemi Warriors of Maiduguri as the team prepares for their upcoming CAF Confederation Cup preliminary game and the new NPFL season.

A Key Player's Return
Jojo was an integral part of the Elkanemi Warriors team that secured promotion to the NPFL and won the President Federation Cup in the just concluded season. His return to training is a significant boost to the team's preparations for the upcoming campaigns.

Focused on the Tasks Ahead
Under the watchful eyes of Technical Adviser, Coach Aliyu Zubair, Jojo expressed his delight at being back with the team after a short break. "It feels good to be back with the team. I have missed everyone, and I am glad to be back." He emphasized the team's focus on the tasks ahead, particularly the NPFL campaigns and the CAF Confederation Cup engagement. "We are going to put in our best and ensure that we achieve our targets this season."

A Historic Campaign
Elkanemi Warriors will make their return to continental football after over two decades. They will face Beninoise outfit, Dadje FC, in the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round. The first leg is scheduled for August 16-18, 2024, while the second leg will take place between August 23-25, 2024. Should they overcome Dadje FC, Elkanemi will face former champions, RS Berkane of Morocco, in the second preliminary round.

NPFL Opener
In their NPFL opener on August 31st, Elkanemi Warriors will face the current champions, Enugu Rangers, in their first game of the season.

With Jojo's return and the team's focus on the upcoming campaigns, Elkanemi Warriors are poised for a successful season in both the CAF Confederation Cup and the NPFL.
