Rivers United’s technical adviser, Finidi George, has assured fans that his team will be well-prepared for their upcoming fixture against Shooting Stars. The match is set to take place at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt on Thursday as part of the midweek NPFL fixtures.
Following a demanding two-day trip to Katsina, Finidi emphasized the importance of proper rest and recovery for his players. He noted that the team’s journey had been long and taxing, but the coaching staff would focus on ensuring the players are physically ready for the crucial clash against Shooting Stars.
"We'll plan carefully to ensure the boys recover properly after the two-day journey," Finidi told Rivers United's media. He highlighted the need for rest after the exhausting travel, acknowledging that it takes a toll on the players.
Despite the challenges of being on the road, Finidi expressed confidence in his team’s ability to bounce back and perform well. "It’s not easy being on the road, but we’ll get them ready for Shooting Stars,” he added, signaling his intent to implement the right tactics for the game.
Rivers United will aim to capitalize on their home advantage and deliver a strong performance against Shooting Stars as they continue their campaign in the NPFL.
