Abia Warriors Goalkeeper Declares: 'We Will Bounce Back Stronger After Heartland Defeat'

Abia Warriors goalkeeper, Ali Ishiaku, has expressed confidence that the club will bounce back from their recent setback in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL). The team, under coach Imama Amapakabo, suffered an unexpected 1-0 defeat to Heartland in a Matchday 10 encounter at home. Despite the disappointing result, Ishiaku remains focused on the future and believes that the team can recover and get back to winning ways.

In an interview with the club’s media team, Ishiaku admitted the defeat was not the outcome Abia Warriors had hoped for. However, he emphasized that dwelling on past results would not help the team. "It's not the result we wanted, but we can't dwell on it. We have to pick ourselves up and look forward to the next game," he said, signaling the need for the team to remain resilient and stay focused on the challenges ahead.

Abia Warriors will have another opportunity to bounce back when they face Lobi Stars in their Matchday 11 fixture this weekend. Ishiaku is confident that the team has the quality and determination to recover from the loss and deliver a strong performance.

With the league heating up, Abia Warriors will be looking to regain momentum and secure vital points as they continue their campaign. The team’s focus now shifts to Lobi Stars, and Ishiaku believes that with hard work and the right mentality, they can come out on top in their next encounter.
