Last-Minute Heroics: Kano Pillars Stun Plateau United with 2-1 Comeback Victory



Kano Pillars secured a thrilling 2-1 comeback victory over Plateau United in their NPFL25 Matchday 10 clash at the Muhammad Dikko Stadium in Katsina. The game took a dramatic turn in the second half after Plateau United initially took the lead in the 67th minute. Gafar Saka's well-placed header from a corner gave Plateau United a 1-0 advantage, putting the pressure on Kano Pillars to respond.

Pillars found their equalizer nine minutes later through Rabiu Ali, who expertly converted a free kick to level the score at 1-1 in the 76th minute. Ali’s strike energized the home crowd, setting the stage for a tense finish as both teams battled to gain the upper hand in the closing moments of the match.

In stoppage time, Kano Pillars struck again to seal the victory. Ahmed Musa scored in the 90+2 minute, completing the comeback and securing three crucial points. The win lifts Kano Pillars to 8th place on the league table with 14 points, while Plateau United also sits with 14 points in 6th position.
