In a bid to enhance the popularity and global visibility of the Nigerian National League (NNL), the league's board has signed a partnership deal with leading sports platform, Sofascore. This collaboration aims to provide international recognition for the second-tier league, ensuring it gains wider attention from football enthusiasts across the world.
The partnership allows Sofascore to upload NNL match results, player data, and statistics on its official website and the Sofascore Editor app, enabling millions of users globally to access detailed insights into the league. This development also ensures that local tournaments within the NNL become visible to a broader audience, amplifying the league's reach and relevance.
The agreement, signed by NNL Chief Executive Officer Emmanuel Attah and Karto Levak on behalf of Sofascore, establishes the company as the official technical partner of the league. It includes provisions for Sofascore's branding, such as the display of its logo on promotional materials, banners, and official communications where league partners are featured.
This collaboration is mutually beneficial, combining business and economic advantages for both parties. It is expected to showcase NNL players and matches to a global audience, thereby increasing the league's attractiveness and marketability. The Sofascore app will serve as a critical tool for presenting the league's activities to international fans and stakeholders.
NNL Chairman, Mr. George Aluo, described the deal as a groundbreaking achievement for the league. He emphasized that the partnership would make the league more appealing by providing both local and international audiences with easier access to information about its matches and players. This, he believes, will significantly enhance the league's profile and popularity.
