NPFL: Rangers GM Urges Players to Focus on Title Defence

As the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season nears its midpoint, Amobi Ezeaku, the General Manager of Rangers International, has charged the team to remain focused on defending their title. Rangers, fondly known as the Flying Antelopes, secured the league title last season and are in a strong position to retain it this year.

Ezeaku emphasized the importance of unity and commitment during a meeting with the players. "I enjoined all of you to put your mind to the task," he said. He urged them to stay together as a team, which he believes is critical to achieving their goals for the season.

Reflecting on the team’s performance, the GM noted the progress Rangers has made compared to the same stage last season. "Last week, I told you that we should look at our current position on the log compared to last season; you will see that it’s better this season, which means we are heading somewhere. So, with togetherness, we can make the best of what we have now," he told the players.

Rangers have consistently shown resilience and determination, qualities that will be tested as they aim to retain their NPFL crown. The players’ focus and collective effort will be pivotal as they navigate the challenges of the season.

Next on their schedule is a critical home game against Rivers United at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium on Sunday. The outcome of this fixture could further solidify their position in the title race.
