Nasarawa United FC: Ministry of Youth and Sports Applauds Governor Sule's Support



The Nasarawa State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development has praised Governor Abdullahi Sule for his unwavering support of the state's football teams, Nasarawa United FC and Nasarawa Amazons. This commendation follows Nasarawa United's 1-0 victory over Katsina United in their NPFL matchday 20 clash at the Lafia City Stadium.

Dr. Ibrahim Adamu Alhassan, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, highlighted the governor's contributions, which have played a key role in the teams' impressive performances in the ongoing campaigns. "The Governor's relentless support and timely approvals have been a game-changer for our teams, particularly Nasarawa United," he said.

Dr. Ibrahim also recognized the dedication of the teams’ management, coaching staff, players, and support staff. He expressed confidence in their ability to continue making the state proud, emphasizing the Ministry's commitment to fostering sports development.

As a gesture of encouragement, the Permanent Secretary redeemed his personal pledge of ₦500,000 to Nasarawa United players following their victory. He urged the team to sustain their winning momentum as they prepare for their next match against Shooting Stars.

Club Chairman Solomon Babanjah expressed gratitude to Governor Sule, Deputy Governor Dr. Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe, the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, and other stakeholders for their consistent support. He pledged the team's commitment to repaying these efforts with continued success on the field.
