Usman Maidubji Joins Barau FC on Loan from Kano Pillars

Defensive midfielder Usman Maidubji has completed a loan move to Kano NNL newcomers, Barau FC, from Kano Pillars. According to Tolu Oguntimehin, the deal will keep the former Plateau United player at Barau FC until the end of the 2025 season.

Maidubji featured for Kano Pillars in the first half of the NPFL25 campaign before securing the temporary switch. His experience in the top-flight league is expected to bolster Barau FC’s midfield as they navigate their debut season in the Nigeria National League (NNL).

The move offers Maidubji more playing time and an opportunity to contribute significantly to Barau FC’s ambitions. His presence in the squad could be crucial in helping the newly promoted side establish themselves in the second tier of Nigerian football.
