NLO Increases Participation Fee for 2024/2025 Season

The Nationwide League One (NLO) has officially increased its participation fee for the 2024/2025 football season. This decision was confirmed in a communique released following the league’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), which was held virtually.

As part of the resolutions reached at the AGM, the Congress approved an increment in the center participation fee from ₦200,000 to ₦300,000. The increase was attributed to the prevailing economic situation. The participation fee will cover match logistics, including indemnities, security, medical services, pitch preparation, and ball boys.

Despite inflation, the registration fee remains unchanged at ₦300,000. This fee will continue to cover essential aspects such as the Pre-Competition Medical Assessment, Players' Registration, Player Insurance, and Secretariat Management, ensuring clubs can meet the necessary requirements for the season.

Another major resolution from the meeting was the adoption of the stadium league format, aimed at improving the organization of matches. Additionally, the Congress approved April 11, 2025, as the official commencement date for the new season.

The adjustments reflect the NLO’s commitment to maintaining the league’s operational efficiency while adapting to economic realities. With these changes, clubs must now prepare adequately for the new season as they look forward to competing under the updated structure.
