Kwara United Issues Stern Warning to Technical Crew, Apologizes for Poor Form

Kwara United has sent a strong warning to its technical crew, urging them to improve performances as the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season nears its conclusion. The club’s management expressed dissatisfaction with the team's recent struggles and demanded immediate improvement.

In a statement released on Monday, the Club Chairman, Mr. Kumbi Titiloye, through the General Manager, Mallam Bashir Badawiy, publicly apologized to the fans for the team's disappointing results. He assured supporters that while management does not interfere with team selection, they expect better outcomes moving forward.

The warning comes after Kwara United suffered a disappointing home defeat to Akwa United, a result that further dampened their position in the NPFL standings. The club acknowledged the frustration among supporters and pledged to work toward a turnaround in fortunes.

"We sincerely apologize to our supporters for the unfortunate results. We have warned our technical crew to sit up and remain committed as the season nears its end," Badawiy stated.

Despite the setbacks, the club remains optimistic about a strong response when they face Nasarawa United on Wednesday. The management has called on players and coaches to rise to the challenge and deliver a much-needed victory.

Kwara United also appealed to fans to maintain their unwavering support, assuring them of a better performance in the remaining matches. The club believes the fans’ encouragement will be crucial in motivating the team to finish the season on a high note.

Additionally, the club expressed gratitude to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Mallam Bola Magaji (Executive Chairman of the Kwara Sports Commission), and other stakeholders for their continued backing. The management acknowledged their contributions in ensuring the team has the necessary resources to succeed.

Currently sitting 13th on the NPFL table after 30 matches, Kwara United faces growing pressure to secure more points and avoid dropping further. The upcoming fixture against Nasarawa United presents a vital opportunity to regain momentum and restore confidence among supporters.

The crucial encounter is set to take place in Ilorin on Wednesday at 4 PM, with fans able to watch the action live on Startimes. A victory could help lift the team’s morale and ease concerns surrounding their recent struggles.

With time running out in the season, all eyes will be on Kwara United's response to this stern warning. The technical crew and players must now rise to the occasion and prove they have what it takes to turn their season around.
