Bayelsa Queens have been rewarded with ₦400,000 each following their successful campaign in the 2025 Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL).
The Prosperity Girls, coached by Whyte Ogbonda, sealed the title with a dominant 4-1 win over Naija Ratels in their final playoff game in Ikenne on Saturday. They topped the championship standings with 10 points from five matches, securing their sixth NWFL crown.
To celebrate their achievement, the Bayelsa State Government announced plans to host the team and officials upon their return to Yenagoa.
Bayelsa Queens will now shift focus to the upcoming WAFU B Champions League campaign later this year.
