Bayelsa Queens midfielder Moshood Shakirat Abidemi has described winning the 2024/25 NWFL Premiership title as the start of greater things to come in her career.
The Nigeria U-17 international played a key role in the Prosperity Girls' triumph at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne Remo, Ogun State, where they sealed the league crown.
“It’s a dream come true,” Shakirat told ATM Sports TV via WhatsApp. “Winning the NWFL Premiership with Bayelsa Queens is incredible, but this is just the beginning of what we want to achieve.”
The 17-year-old, celebrating her first league title, expressed strong ambitions for more silverware. “We’ll now focus on winning the CAF Women’s Champions League. The message to our supporters is that we’re just getting started.”
Looking ahead, the talented midfielder has set her sights on the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco, scheduled for 17 October to 8 November 2025.
“My next target is the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup,” she added.
