Ekeh Ekenedilichukwu Hails ‘Sweet Victory’ as Rangers Advance to Federation Cup Semi-Finals



Rangers International have secured a place in the semi-finals of the 2025 President Federation Cup following a narrow 1-0 victory over Plateau United in Abuja.

Chiedozie Okorie scored the decisive goal in the 30th minute at the Area 3 football pitch, sealing a hard-fought win in a closely contested quarter-final clash.



Coach Ekeh Ekenedilichukwu, standing in for technical adviser Fidelis Ilechukwu, praised his side’s effort after the match.

“This is a very sweet victory for us against a highly tactical and technical side, led by a great coach, Mbwas Mangut. We continue to fight till the end of the competition,” he said.



Rangers’ General Manager and CEO, Amobi Ezeaku, also expressed satisfaction with the performance, saying, “We remain very humble in victory as we fought with all we had in us to overcome a great side, Plateau United. We shall continue to fight till the end of the competition, which we are positive about.”

Rangers will face Kwara United in the semi-final, with the fixture date to be announced by the Nigeria Football Federation.
