Nigeria's Ahmed Musa to Lead Super Eagles at Unity Cup

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will be captained by Ahmed Musa at the upcoming Unity Cup 4-Nations Tournament in London. The tournament, scheduled from May 26 to 31, 2025, will feature Nigeria, Ghana, Jamaica, and Trinidad & Tobago at Brentford's Gtech Community Stadium.

Musa's impressive form with Kano Pillars, scoring 8 goals and providing 2 assists in the ongoing NPFL season, earned him a recall to the national team. He was previously omitted from the final squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.

Tournament Schedule:

- Semi-finals:
  • Trinidad and Tobago vs Jamaica on May 27
  • Nigeria vs Ghana on May 28

- Final and Third-place Playoff: May 31

The Unity Cup, last held in 2004, marks a significant opportunity for the Super Eagles to build cohesion ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Musa's leadership and experience will be vital assets for the team.
