The Nigeria Nationwide League One (NLO) has launched an investigation into the shocking 15-2 result recorded in a match between Campos FC of Imo State and A&A FC of Anambra State.
In an official letter dated May 9, 2025, addressed to the Imo State Football Association, the NLO Secretariat expressed concern over the unusually high scoreline in the match, which was played on the same day.
According to the NLO, the outcome of the game has raised suspicions of possible match compromise. Citing Article 4:17 of its rules and regulations, the NLO announced the commencement of a discreet investigation involving both clubs and the match officials.
The NLO emphasized its zero-tolerance policy on actions that could bring the game into disrepute and reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the integrity of Nigerian football.
The letter was signed by Olushola Ogunnowo, Chief Operating Officer of the NLO, and was copied to all NLO clubs.
