Crown FC Coach Sends Rallying Call Ahead of NNL Super 8 Showdown

Crown FC head coach, Alexander Ayodeji Ayeni, has issued a passionate message ahead of the crucial Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 8 tournament, set to take place in Asaba from 5–12 July 2025.

With a place in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) up for grabs, Coach Ayeni reflected on the club’s hard-fought journey through the regular season and expressed deep gratitude to key stakeholders.

“In the beginning, it wasn’t an easy task. It was a very good league experience for the boys throughout the regular season,” Ayeni said. “I want to thank the State Governor for all the logistics and the Honourable Commissioner too.”

The Ajilete Warriors finished the campaign on a high, clinching qualification for the Super 8 and keeping their NPFL promotion dream alive. The coach also extended appreciation to the club’s fans for their unwavering support.

“To our supporters, thank you for standing behind the team. At the end of the league, we’ve achieved the dream and aspiration of the state.”

Looking ahead, Ayeni underlined the importance of focus and collective support as the team prepares for the next challenge.

“As I always say, the league is a marathon. The Super 8 will be a tactical battle. We’re going there with the clear mission of securing the NPFL ticket,” he added.

He also called for unity and support from the people of Oyo State. “We need everyone’s prayers and support – the government of Oyo State, and every son and daughter of Ogbomoso. This is the time to stand behind this team.”

Confident in his squad’s ability, Coach Ayeni believes Crown FC has what it takes to reach the top flight.

The stage is now set in Asaba, and Crown FC will aim to write a new chapter in their history as they chase a return to the NPFL.
