Remo Stars defender Nduka Junior has expressed his delight at receiving his first call-up to the Super Eagles, describing the experience as “amazing” and eye-opening.
Speaking after the conclusion of the national team camp, Nduka highlighted the unique atmosphere within the squad, praising the camaraderie between home-based and foreign-based players.
“It’s a different ball game entirely at the senior level,” Nduka said. “This time, you’re not just playing with homegrown players—you’re alongside those who play overseas, the big boys, mixed with CHAN players. It’s an amazing feeling.”
The young full-back credited senior players for their mentorship and support throughout the training sessions and team activities.
“We learned a lot from some of the players and coaches. We sat together with people like Iheanacho, Igho Ogbu, and Samuel Chukwueze. It’s a happy family. We laughed, talked, and shared experiences—and that helped me settle in,” he added.
With his first senior camp behind him, Nduka now feels more prepared and motivated to fight for a place in the squad’s upcoming matches.
