Abayomi Adebayo Delighted with Equaliser in Draw Against Ikorodu City

Shooting Stars SC forward, Abayomi Adebayo, has expressed satisfaction with his performance and the team’s result following a 2-2 draw against Ikorodu City in their Eko International Cup opener.

Speaking after the game, Adebayo praised the team's response to going behind and commended the coaching staff for key tactical adjustments.

“They capitalised on our slight loss of concentration to score, but our coach made some tactical changes,” Adebayo explained. “The changes in the midfield helped us and we were able to score the second goal. We are happy with the result, although it is a pre-season tournament.”

Adebayo, who netted the crucial equaliser, reflected on the move that led to his goal.

“I’m so happy to have scored the second goal because it was a tough game for us. I had to run through the back of their defender from their blind side, make a run, then I utilised the space to score.”

The match forms part of Shooting Stars’ preparations for the upcoming season as they continue to fine-tune their squad.
