Remo Stars defender Ahmed Akinyele has dedicated his Young Player of the Season award to the club’s fans, teammates, and coaching staff, following a standout campaign in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
The young centre-back played a key role in helping Remo Stars clinch the 2024/25 NPFL title, contributing to a solid defensive line throughout the season.
Speaking at the club’s Champions Gala, Ahmed expressed his appreciation: “Winning Young Player of the Season is an incredible honour, and I’m truly grateful. I want to thank my coach for believing in me, challenging me, and guiding me to improve every day. To my teammates and the fans, this award is a reflection of togetherness.”
The club also recognised other outstanding performers at the event. Tochukwu Michael won Goal of the Season, while Olamilekan Adedayo bagged both the Player’s Player of the Season and Fan’s Player of the Season awards.
