The Bauchi State Government has hailed Wikki Tourists for securing a swift return to the Nigeria Premier Football League after topping Group A at the Nigeria National League Super 8 playoffs.
State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Alhaji Adamu Babayo Gabarin, praised the “Bauchi Elephants” and set clear objectives for their top-flight campaign.
“This team has everything required to compete and remain at the highest level of Nigerian football, from the coaching staff to the quality of players,” Gabarin said. “We are fully committed to supporting them not merely to survive in the NPFL, but to excel.”
Wikki Tourists were relegated in 2023 but have bounced back at the first attempt, buoyed by state backing and renewed optimism ahead of the 2025–26 season.
