Already promoted Wikki Tourists concluded their Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 8 campaign with a 3-2 defeat to Warrior Wolves in an entertaining group-stage match on Friday.
With their return to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) already secured, the Bauchi-based side played with freedom and confidence. However, Warrior Wolves edged the five-goal encounter, taking full advantage of Wikki’s defensive lapses.
Wikki Tourists impressed again in attack, scoring twice through well-worked moves, but it was not enough to avoid defeat.
Despite the result, Wikki can look back on a successful Super 8 outing. Their determination, consistency and attacking flair earned them promotion back to the top flight after just one season away.
