Crown FC Technical Adviser, Alexander Ayodeji Ayeni, has called on fans to rally behind the team with prayers and support as they gear up for the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 8 promotion playoffs, which begin tomorrow at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, Delta State.
The Ajilete Warriors arrived in Asaba on Wednesday with a 26-man squad, alongside technical officials and club management, in preparation for the high-stakes competition that will determine promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
Speaking after the team’s first training session, Coach Ayeni expressed confidence in his squad’s readiness and fitness ahead of the group-stage encounters.
"We expect a positive result in every competition," Ayeni told the club’s media team. "By the grace of Almighty God, we are going to have a wonderful tournament with very good results. So far, we have no injuries, and our medical staff have done an excellent job ensuring the players are fit and focused."
The Crown FC gaffer urged supporters back home in Ogbomoso and beyond to keep the team in their prayers.
"The players are here to do their best. With your prayers, we shall laugh last," he added.
Crown FC will compete in the Southern Conference group alongside Warri Wolves, Kun Khalifat FC, and Osun United. The Northern Conference will feature Barau FC, Yobe Desert Stars, Wikki Tourists, and Doma United. Four teams will gain promotion to the NPFL at the end of the tournament.
