Kwara United Edge Blimz FC in Pre-Season Friendly as Preparations Intensify



Kwara United kicked off their preparations for the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season and the CAF Confederation Cup with a 1-0 win over Blimz FC in a friendly match played on Tuesday in Ilorin.

AbdulAfeez Ajao scored the only goal of the match at the club’s training pitch, as Coach Tunde Sanni utilised the opportunity to evaluate a blend of senior, newly recruited, and U-19 players. The exercise offered the technical crew insight into the squad’s depth and match fitness.

The encounter served as a useful platform for tactical refinement, as the team works on strengthening key areas before the new season begins.

Following the match, Coach Sanni charged his players to remain focused and fully prepared, both mentally and physically, for the challenges ahead. He stressed the importance of winning home games in front of their supporters, describing it as a critical objective for the campaign.

The team will resume training on Wednesday at 3:00 PM at the club's training ground.
